In 2013, Kelly, an avid traveler, heard a quiet whisper calling her to places that would soothe her spirit and heal her broken heart. Finding solace in the symbolism and psychology of the ancient goddesses, she became an avid student, and found herself seeking out sites of history and meaning. Sometimes quite literally stumbling over sites dedicated to ancient goddesses, she followed her path to the sacred feminine.  

A discovery of like-minded women resulted in her organizing her first women’s group trips to the sites of ancient goddesses in Greece and then Turkey. The whisper was no longer: it was a full on call to unearth the forgotten and to reconnect women seeking deeper travel experiences with these sacred places.  Her love of the healing power that came through her work led her to establish The Goddess Abroad in an effort to reach more women seeking to reconnect with the sacred and with themselves in an experiential journey. 

She has traveled to 35 countries and is always in the stages of planning the next adventure or pilgrimage. Her love of travel and encouraging others to follow what calls to them led to the establishment of her travel agency, Compass Rose Travel Co, and A Path Less Taken, a general travel site and source of information for women seeking to explore their inner and outer worlds in personally authentic ways.
